Break-in period, the mechanic at the dealer said not to go over 4k RPM for the first 600 miles. It's not fun going 55 mph on the freeway while all these cars are zooming past me lol 500 more miles...

If it helps, the dent has been there since the previous owner of the bike and we've both never had any issues as far as rusting is concerned.
