Not likely issue. Hydraulic pressure at carb-inlet should be sufficient regardless since it's below outlet of tank. However, in low-vacuum situations such as cold-starts, every little bit helps.

OEM filter that fits inside fuel-line going to carbs? Might be better to use inline external filter. It has more capacity and won't get clogged up as quickly. And it's visible so you can inspect it....
