This is one I built. It's a factory can that I gutted and took some perforated tube wrapped in packing and screwed to the can. It's alright I just want something a bit more aftermarket looking.

Nope. But didn't damage anything at all and I went over it with a fine tooth comb. Not a scratch or chip the bolt gave to it bent is all.

What's the signal doing? Is it intermittent or not blinking at all? Is front or back or both ends? Make sure the bulbs that are in there are the correct ones. One end is 1156 and other is a 1157.
