I had the same issue. I know the valves to be in spec, and it was still noisy as hell and has been since 5k miles when I got it and has 17,300 on it now in just 8 months. I bought a parts bike that...

Use a 2008-2012 clutch, that's what I did. I got a complete 2008 clutch with less then 2k miles off Ebay for $210 shipped. So much quieter. If you go this route I suggest buying some EBC clutch...

For anyone on the fence about paying $90 for that key way from Factory Pro, it is worth the money. Bike idles better, sounds better, you can feel a definite power increase specially In the mid range....

Anyone done the ignition advance offset key way on a 88-07 ninja 250 from Factory Pro? I am reading the instructions and it says the offset needs to be to the right. I believe the motor spins counter...

These are half as loud as the muzzy. Only reason I am not putting them back on is I like the mid range power the 2 to 1 Muzzy system gives me.

It’s not that I want a dead quiet exhaust I like a little noise, I just want to take the edge off the loudness so the passenger’s Cardo stop’s picking up all the exhaust noise.
