I made the front fender with fibreglass. I used a vstar 250 fender as a mould....

That could be the case. Hopefully it was just from a lack of care from the previous owner. It's not going to happen anymore cause the dealership removed the throw outs.

I don't see why not. Lots of cafe racers have their seats made from fibreglass that has been upholstered. Just give an upholsterer in your area a call and ask them.
