Yes that'll work fine. Personally for syncing I prefer vacuum gauges. There are companies that sell 4 gauge units specifically for syncing (although you'd only need to use 2 at any given time)....

That's just the valve check by the sound of it. If they didn't change any of the shims that's not terribly bad. If they DID have to adjust some of them then $170 would be killer.

A valve adjustment video would be a long video :p Plug I think by the end your camera wouldn't be happy after you inadvertantly get oil all over it from the frequent starts/stops, movement, etc.

Using vacuum gauges is a perfectly legitimate way of syncing carb's. Guys/girls with 4 cylinder bikes find that way especially easy and can sync their throttle bodies/carb's super quick.

I had the opposite problem. I worked nights (7:30pm-6am monday-friday) for about 5 years and loved it. I'd often times stay up saturday, sleep long on Sunday, and by Monday would be right as rain....
