CCS wouldbe ok for lightweight GT and GP classes. . But I think a crippled 750 gets you to the three cyl displ limit for those classes.

The real 500 cc bikes would be the EX 500 and the honda 500 twin. The honda is pretty low powered. EX 500s seem to be pretty rare in the midwest, I havent seen one at a CCS event.

Full coverage insurance would probably be less on the unfaired bike. Im not sure if its that big of a deal on these smaller bikes but it is for the 600s and 1000s.

Measured wheel movement from ground and shock length at a few points, using a MM ruler. I didnt have enough room to use my dial calipers for the shock length.

So in case anyone is wondering, I measured the shock ratio at 2.1:1. This is over the 3" of travel from the most extended position. The ratio seemed pretty linear over this range as best I could tell.

I put the ZZ's on the bike. They work well, they are not scary at all. They wont throw you over the handlebars or nothin. Turns out my EBCs had a ton of life left in them as well.

shock ratio?

Has anyone measured or calculated the ratio of rear wheel movement to shock movement? I came up with ~2.9 without any real measurements of the swingarm or linkage.
