Thanks for your reply. As mentioned above it’s an 08. The problem is that the filler neck is damaged and coolant can exit between the sealing surface on the filler neck and the gasket on the rad cap....

Took my 08 ninja 250 apart a few months back... finally have time to put it back together. Came across this little part. Looks like I had it in the ultrasonic cleaner along with the carbs???
