I had mine done at 8,000...and forgot to ask if they were out of spec at all. probably wouldn't have mattered since my blinkers and gas gauges were left unplugged, not sure if i trust that it was...

I never finished the mounting bracket, and to gps with the ipod touch you had to use a dock...so at this point I zip-tied it on to the bracket...then it broke, so i dismantled it.
