I used a breaker bar from a Harbor Freight 1/2" metric set with a 3 foot length of iron pipe from Lowe's as a cheater bar.

Came off fine. :)

I would remove the snorkel before anything else if you haven't done it already. It's the easiest thing to do before attempting further modifications.

I always engine brake. When you're experienced at it, it's safe as you can accelerate immediately due to the fact you're already in the appropriate gear with the clutch out. Not to mention it's fun!...
