That was what was happening. Bike had sat for 9 years. I sprayed some penetration oil on it and it freed up the bind. Still want a new gen shock for 2up riding.

Not blown, New gen (preferred) or pre gen rear shock wanted.

Finally was able to ride my new to me bike the other day and the rear shock goes down and doesn't want to come back up.
