I'd check with the dealer. I believe you could reattach the broken-off piece around that bearing shell with epoxy since it's not bearing much of a load. I would consider getting a new upper crankcase...

33mm carbs seem sort of big, no? (Mikuni flatsides or Keihin CRs?) I wish you well but doubling the hp of the 250 sounds like a grenade. Or did you get Carillo rods?

I wear earplugs. My boot hits the stock heat shield so I wouldn't buy an aftermarket pipe. It's not worth $400. You can do better things with your money, like feed some hungry people.

Well, the valves should be inspected at 7500 miles but it's likely they won't need adjustment. Engines todays are built and assembled very, very well.
