Ditto on the flat metal washer. I put everything back together with new oil, started it up to check for leaks, topped off the oil, and then saw the flat washer sitting on the garage floor... :doh:

First time I have put on rim tape. I considered it because you can get the reflective kind, good for someone noticing you at night coming at your perpendicular.

Do you have a multimeter? You can see if there is voltage getting to the headlight plug. If there isn't you can go from there. Really, if the fuse is OK and there isn't some unknown wiring damage...
