Crashed bike. Going naked. Any recommended tachometers?

I removed the frame that holds up the headlight and dashboard and was hoping I could just zip tie the dashboard somewhere but it's just too huge. Anyone have a minimalist setup they can share?

I would first make sure the forks aren't twisted....

I would first make sure the forks aren't twisted. I do this by measuring the distance between the dust seals to the lower clamps.

Kirk, thanks, that was pretty much what I ended up doing. I even went all the way by removing the banjo bolts and inspecting the the internal threading, although that turned out to be unnecessary.

I used a syringe to empty out most of the reservoir. The rotors and pads are installed. Note that when I pump the bake, fluid does get pushed out the bleed valve, it's just that I can't build up...

Alex, I tried bleeding to the point of an empty reservoir and no luck. I'll try disassembling the brake line from the mc and calipers to look for a bad seal.

It looks like I overestimated the amount of inches the forks were protruding. I was able to slip on the handlebars after jacking up the triple clamp using a 2x2.

You could open up the throttle housing to see if the pull and push cables are where they're supposed to be. It's just two screws to open up the housing.

Are the locknuts supposed to be tightened up against the adjusting nuts or the assembly/housing? In the service manual the clutch locknut is tightened against the housing, but on various youtube...
