The actual post said that "a couple of seconds from 40-80 is a decent benchmark." Not 60-80... I was just citing published numbers. 40 mph delta is what's been thrown out there.
A couple of seconds is two seconds, not a few seconds. That's less time than you might think.
Sorry, but I'm skeptical your garden-variety mid-displacement bike is that quick. Please offer a citation at least comparable to the one I've provided. Three or four seconds I'll buy. Two? Doubt that.
And the "benchmark" is the amount of power you need to get out of trouble. Surely the suggestion is not that you have to ride a powerful supersport to get out of trouble?
