Because being on a 250 and beating a s1000rr around the track just brings a smile to my face! ha... but really, it does happen
I first starting riding trackdays because i wanted a new experience and a safer environment to begin to push my 600.. after a few rounds i went and bout a race 250 to start racing.. now i go for both reasons. I have a track family and racing friends that only we know what it is like to be out there. We have fun and we want to get better and push the limits.
I still ride my zx6r daily on the streets and on occassion put on the race suit and go tear up the canyons but ive found myself backing off a lot knowing that there is such a better place to be pushing it on two wheels
