I am so very sorry that this happened to you. You seem like a nice person who, got injured and then taken for a ride thru the "system". I have been there myself just not anywhere nearly as bad as you. I did not know any better than you when I got hurt and got a lot of "friendly" advice. Just like you, the advice I got cost me some money. Everyone here has advised you to speak with a good attorney and (speaking from experience) I agree 100%. The medical bills can wait (I don't believe past due medical bills effect your credit) and a good lawyer can make your rainy day much nicer. You seem to have some lasting, long term effects from this incident and should be compensated! Please post back after you have contacted a (stressed( reputable) Stressed again) attorney.
