Trackside valve adjustment

So last week my motor failed, Believing the issue was cam chain I replaced the cam chain tensioner for a noticeable change (didn't get it until yesterday) however it turns out the primary issue is in the valves.

So, I don't have a manual on me to get the tolerances. I also don't have any special tools such as a specific valve adjustment tool on hand.

Can the job be done without a valve adjustment tool?
If so, how do I check the clearances?
What are the clearances I need?

Hopefully I will be good to go to race tomorrow, as it is I am not sure if it will be possible. Thankfully this weekend has saturday as a practice day rather than race

Been learning a lot, in case anyone else finds this thread trying to figure it out themselves here are the answers to the 3 questions
Yes
Use a micrometer for shims and feeler gauges for clearance
clearances are:
Exhaust: .22mm - .29mm
Intake: .15mm - .24 mm

Now to hope I get this **** good to go so I can race
