It's really simple to me. I watch racing. They crash a lot and usually walk away. Sometimes they have broken bones.
I ride in the city and on the highway. In addition to 30 grit asphalt; there is a ton of road furniture to bump into. I want to walk away or maybe only have a broken bone.
Armoured, perforated leathers & the rest of the kit. If it's the only thing they wear then it's what I'll wear. If you want a look: get them custom made.
