They don't offer any more protection than cheap hightops... Save your money and go to Payless if you want comfortable casual leather riding shoes.
They don't feel good to walk in, they have no arch support, they aren't comfortable really/ or on the bike for extended periods, you sure can feel the pegs in them though, just don't step on any rocks
I liked them too, but I like my feet more
