thanks everyone and thanks for the advice triple jim.

I'm going to check valves since I've already got it apart enough. It would also die if i stayed at 75+mph for too long.

I wasn't sure if i should get the gasket set or just get a new petcock assembly. Since it looks like its been sitting a while I think I'll just get a new one and be done with it. I know ethanol is not kind to anything. Also reserve does not work. I run out of gas, but it still has some in the tank.

I have the Haynes manual and have been looking for a decently priced FSM.
