Find a cheap bike that you liked as a kid, put it in the garage and strip it, then slowly rebuild.

Lets call it long term project, it needn't cost alot, the time spent looking for parts and slowly assembling is therapeutic, and the eventual outcome is rewarding.

My mate is rebuilding a old Honda CB750 four, he has been doing it for around 5 years, the thing is still in peices, but when I go over for beers we head into the shed and talk **** about the parts he has found or the latest part he has refurbished.

I swear when he looks at the bike, or parts there of, there is more love in his eyes for the bike than his missus.

At this rate though the bike should be finished in another 5 years.
