It must be because during my first valve adjustment on my "new" 2007 I managed to lose one set of Kawasaki Feeler (gauge) blades, two camshaft bearing cap locating pins and a piece of plastic milk carton down my cam chain tower. I spent three days envisioning what havoc hardened steel feeler blades would do to my engine if they were digested. Fortunately I was able to retrieve everything.
