I, too, am wanting to do the same type of build so am following as well. I might be selling the fairings off my 1993 if you're interested...I pick up the bike tomorrow and will be taking cosmetics off this weekend. I don't expect to need any of it other than the gas tank. Very nervous about changing the front end, I've only done one other build and it was very easy.
