I'm not sure when I started rolling my eyes as often coming back to my site, but it's posts and threads like these that make me realize we have a problem.
We've been too lenient and accepting of newer posters not realizing how much of an ass they make of themselves, even with those who might tend to agree with many of their underlying messages.
Keep the political rants elsewhere. Heck, keep the rants elsewhere, unless they are in line with why your motorcycle is pissing you off because it's not ridden enough. Or at the very, very, least - make the rants entertaining and/or funny, rather than coming across like the crazy neighbor that nobody wants to walk past, let alone have a conversation with.
