The thing that is killing you is you lack of having a vehicle insured under your name which they take a as a lack of driving experience. I'm surprised that State Farm did not give you a quote I would call another State Farm office. Insurance companies aren't supposed to refuse a quote if your in the market for a vehicle that is the deciding factor when i'm shopping around. I would suggest that you also try RBC insurance and TD insurance to see what they quote you to see what your figures your looking at.
