No weight at all to foot for 4 months then the PT ensued..not near walking for a year thereafter? (can't even remember) ..permanent damage ..its still bent out of line a bit, sensitive, bones and nerve damage a little painful to this very moment. Not complaining, I was lucky to survive WITH a foot. And that the least of my worries as I've since survived something far more sinister and threatening (cancer).
A positive outlook and goal, time, lots of patience and long term perseverance were imperative to overcoming both. And I'm STILL riding... this morning, in fact.

That's crazy. I have heard stories of similar accidents, lots of foot damage, people not even standing for months. So awful. No need to worry about derailing a thread, I love injury stories and it's good for me to hear about other people's recoveries!! I'm glad you've been pushing through all that and still able to ride!
