It's amazing how many riders think that having a sealed chain means you don't need to lubricate it regularly. When I got my 2005 Ninja a few years ago the chain was rusty and the seller said he didn't understand why. I told him it was because no one had lubed it. He looked confused.
He was a nice guy though, and he included a new chain and sprocket set with the bike.
