If you want to go the standard handlebar route, yes you can get adapters like the example you posted but those things are pricey, like a few hundred to get from Japan. Not remotely cost efficient.
I drilled out 2 of the existing holes in my triple tree to put some universal bar clamps on (along with some spacers and such) for a handlebar conversion. Needed longer custom length cables after that though.
