you can do it with screwdriver for valve-adjustment and deep socket for locknut.

Special Tool is handy because you can do both at once without having to remove and swap to other. Also lets you hold valve adjustment in place while locking it down. Otherwise, using deep socket by itself tends to spin valve adjustment slightly as you tighten locknut.

Special Tool makes process much more efficient. You can do valve-adjustment in just 1/3-1/2 time compared to separate tools.
