bought my bike used, original owner installed an alarm with shock sensor. basically if someone touches the bike it will go off. don't think it would keep a few guys from "lifting" it, but does keep "onlookers" at bay. i've seen people touch or actually jump on a bike that wasn't their's..........s**theads.
