Can't beat them for touring. You can carry all your camping gear in one. A good set of waterproof panniers handle the clothes, and you still have a luggage rack on the sidecar. You won't break any speed records---then again, who is in a hurry when touring. Can you imagine an older Kawi literbike set up with a JAWA sidecar painted Kawi Green. It would be an incredible machine. I am seriously looking into building something like that. We have a Brit who has a shop specializing in sidecars not far from where I live. He is building "The Spirit of Maine"--a sidecar rig set up to do more than 300mph at Bonneville.
