I have a similar "shirt"--an Acerbis Koerta. It's actually designed for off road protection, but it's the same deal, CE armor sewn on a mesh shirt with a zipper. Here's a link to some pics: http://www.powersportsuperstore.com/...09&Click=6154&

I have worn it on the street on a trip to southern India. And I have been down in it. It worked fine. Just a little rash on my forearm (I was not wearing a jacket over it).

But for everyday here in the states, I wear a Cycleport Ultra jacket. Custommade Kevlar mesh. I also have been down in that jacket and was absolutely unscathed. In fact, the jacket was unscathed. Can't say enough positive things about it. See www.cycleport.com
