Today my good friend dropped his GSXR, and got hurt trying to avoid a few flying geese that he says were flying right at him!

Last summer I had a similar scare when some geese walking nearby came after me as I was slowly riding by, and had to speed up to get away from them.

I know this probably sounds funny, but I am being serious. The geese around here are pretty large, and I am left wondering what would be the safest way to handle flying geese aiming for your head/body while riding.

It happened in a place where it is not possible to gun the engine to get away. (side road approaching a busy 4 lane road).

Anyone have any thoughts on the best way to handle/protect themselves in this situation?
