Sorry Lux, I know it's a little late. My left ballast is mounted exactly the same as the right one. Wiring is pointed down. My forks do not hit my ballast at all, even in lock position. Did you get the slim ballast or the regular ones? The regular are a lot bigger. Did you end up installing it the way g21 said?
