Right, but the sliders will only protect the plastics in the slowest of incidents. Anything at a reasonable speed is going to tag the plastics anyway, but for no-speed or very low-speed drops they can certainly help.

I did witness another board member's low-speed tipover, where the Intuitive sliders did in fact limit damage to the slider and the bar ends with no plastic damage.
