High end leather jackets are really profess quality, IMHO. But, if you feel you need the best, then a jacket is only half of what you should be buying...gotta get pants too ?
3 years ago I bought a full fabric suit for $130...armor, comfy from maybe 60 -80 degrees, very water resistant but no pockets ( PITA). The full suit cost me.. half of what a nice jacket would cost. I know leahter is somehwat more slide resistant and really looks prettier and can be worn when not on the bike ( as opposed to a full suit)...but it costs a lot
