I'm 17, this is my first bike, and I'm paying about $360 a year with a 250 deductible and minimal required liability for everything else. I went with progressive even though that meant I was insured only under my name (nothing to do with my parents) and we have nothing else insured under them. I have a clean driving record too. I think a real deal breaker is where you live too. Vermont is one of the least populated areas period, which means less accidents. Progressive was half as much as anyone else I tried.
