The sleeve is a cordura blend, so it should provide abrasion resistance, especially since you'll wear them under pants. Combined with the impact material, I'd be fairly confident this things could survive a pretty good slide.
And the impact technology looks really good - Forcefield says they far exceed CE standard and are reusable. You can see the cordura in this close up:
