Well, if you must buy one new check ronayers.com. Also apachemotorcycles.com is who I use a lot since they're also cheap and in Arizona so tax free and close for shipping. They have some at $441 new depending on the color. Like if it's a solid color or if it has a decal under the gloss. I just bought a bike that has a rusted tank but not too bad. So I did the drywall screw thing to break loose the bulk of it and I have a POR-15 cycle tank repair kit that I bought for $40. If you found a cheap tank that was lightly rusted, you could go that route. On another note, salvage yards typically sell non dented tanks with normal wear/tear for 50% of the retail price meaning you may pay $300 plus tax on one if you found one locally. I guess keep your eyes on ebay...although I looked recently and theres a ton of newer tanks on there but very few pre-gens.
