Good question. Though we only list it for '88 - 07, from an exhaust standpoint, I don't believe there is any fitment issue/difference for '86-87 models. If I remember correctly, they did make quite a few other changes in '88. I had a fairly big crash in 1988 at the Suzuka 8 hour race in Japan, so I may not remember exactly every detail, on every model, prior to that year....
