well, if your bike is stock, no wonder you're complaining about the power.
don't knock the mods until you've tried them. it turns the 250R from a mild beginners bike into a capable, great running 250. you'll never get the bike to pull your arms out of their sockets from acceleration, no matter what you add to the bike.
the real skill with the ninjette is to work on keeping your corner speeds as high as you can. you'll be surprised on how much "performance" this bike can deliver when ridden well in the twisties. if you have a need for speed, perhaps a day at the track can open your eyes as to the performance potential of your bike. find one in your area and sign up.
