yes, removing the airbox does make it not as beginner user friendly, IMHO.
shim the needles and your wife will love you for it. combined with the tire change, which should lower the bike a bit
plus make it way stickier than what's on the there now, will make her
very happy with the bike, I'm sure. You know the saying... happy wife, happy home.
