The state and local LE is currently setting up road stops with motorcyclists as the primary target. They got a federal grant to set up these road blocks.

They will be looking for DOT approved helmets, license, tag, insurance,good tires, properly working lights, and alcohol.

I know of one rider already who was ticketed for a non-DOT violation on I85.

So if you are in Georgia, get your stuff straight before you head out.
