What is not practical are skin grafts, road rash, medical deductibles, loss of income from missing work and watching a nurse scrub road grime and denim threads from your wounds....those things are impractical, time consuming and just plain annoyingly inconvenient. Get overpants if you want to wear regular cotton jeans...takes 20 seconds to slip them on. Hell, I can have my entire oversuit and boots on in under a minute.

Gear isn't convenient. But being an ER patient is far FAR worse...trust me on that. ATGATT.
