I've used 3000k (yellow)-6000K (slight blue). The 6000K looks hyperwhite most of the time but in the rain or on wet roads you'll be able to tell a difference in light output. Blue doesn't work that well in the wet, scattering light quite a bit. 5000k, doesn't look blue at all except for when you compare it directly to a 4,300k lamp. I didn't notice any scattering from the 5000k lamps.
I would always recommend 4,300-4,500K if you're looking for the brightest, whitest beam and the most output. I've got the 4,500K from DDM on my car with projectors now and the color is nice and white. The further away from that color temp you go, the less usable light you're going to have.
kkim, what wattage are you using? Those things look bright!
