Great write up. As you propose, masses can follow if a few show the way. Unfortunately, my commute might be a little too tough for electric. I must have 75 mph top speed, cruise at 68, and a 50 mile range. If I could get up to speed with a 5000 rpm motor and 110 Whr/mile I could make it one way on a 72v/100Ah battery pack at 25% remaining but now they are too big to fit in the frame. For now, I will have to be content with my Honda CBR250R getting 84 mpg US. I am sure the people at Ecomodders would be very interested in your bike. I wil also check out elmoto for more info.
