Yes, it's not going anywhere now with the sidecases and additional brackets.
Before the sidecases I did a bolt through the stock undertail, through the bikes under seat storage and into the aftermarket trunk which held really well. I used washers, lock washers and a wing nut on top for easy and fast on/off... took 2 minutes to do and cost $1.
