You guys aren't gonna believe this but I've gotten 97 mpg on my 500... that included like a mile of coasting downhill with the clutch pulled in behind some slow semi trucks but also some spirited canyon riding. After that I got 68 mpg with split between a ton of canyons in lower gears at 7k+ rpms and some highway in 6th between 60-90mph. 60mpg average on the highway solid at 80. 45mpg around town wacking the throttle like a squid...
Just thought I'd chime in my figures with a bike with twice the displacement :P
