So the reason for pulling the tank... the kit i got required a tap off the battery. this is because its a HI/LOW buld.

This is because on the Ninja headlights the Low wire has its power turned off when the Hi beams are on and the HI wire turned off when the low wire has power...

So whats that mean for HI/Low HID's? they need power all the time to keep the bulb on, then the HI/LOW is done by moving the HID bulb (they use a solenoid like coil).

so if your using just a low beam, you should be good,

which ever route you go, remember to mask the stray light! that **** can be bright! hopefully if you have a good bulb it wont be very bad, but be sure to double check!
